GoodMedia Press was founded in 2012 on a plain conviction: books that change how people treat each other are worth publishing well.
We are a boutique press, and we publish a small list on purpose. We work directly with our authors from first synopsis through final print — no agents, no acquisitions committee, no house style flattening a practitioner’s voice into someone else’s.
What unites the list is usefulness. Our authors are mediators, attorneys, scholars, executives, and organizers who have spent their careers standing between people in conflict and helping them find a way through. Their books carry the theory, but they end in practice: a question to ask, a process to run, a way to sit down across from someone you disagree with — and stay.
Peace is not a sentiment here. It is a set of skills, and skills can be taught.
GoodMedia Press publishes nonfiction that elevates the human experience. We work directly with our authors and do not accept submissions through literary or book agents.
What We Publish
We consider completed manuscripts in four areas:

Practical approaches to human and civil rights
We look for books that end in something a reader can do. Rigor matters. So does the ability to speak plainly to a non-specialist reader.
What We Don't Publish
We don’t publish fiction, poetry, memoir, or children’s books, and we don’t consider proposals for manuscripts that aren’t yet written. If your book falls outside the four areas above, we’re not the right home for it — and saying so here saves us both time.
How To Submit a Manuscript
If your manuscript fits, email us:

A paragraph on who the book is for, and why they need it now
Please don’t attach the full manuscript with your first inquiry — we’ll ask if we’d like to read it.
What Happens Next
We read every inquiry that comes in. Because of the volume we receive, we respond only to submissions that fit our current publishing goals. If you haven’t heard from us within eight weeks, we’ve regretfully passed.
